Wildlife Adventure Tours was founded in 2012 by team of professional expert local Tharu people co-operative passionate guides, and it is recognized as one of the best agency in Chitwan and Nepal as well as on TripAdvisor. It is situated in the heart of Sauraha a stone’s throw away from Chitwan National Park. Our philosophy has been that guiding is not a job, it is a lifestyle. We are still owned and operated by guides and continue to set the standard in safety, nature, wildlife expertise and Environmental protection across the industry in Chitwan, Nepal. We brought with us more than a decade of guiding experience under the leadership of Bijay Giri. Up to this day, Wildlife Adventure Tours is still owned and operated by local guides. We pride ourselves in setting the standards in terms of safety, nature and wildlife expertise. But that is not all there is to us, we are also very committed to environment protection as well as social wellbeing of our communities. We carry the responsibility of being role models, both for our peers as well as for our guests, through our guiding practices.
Wildlife Adventure Tours has been providing awareness regarding Conservation of wildlife in every government school, villages and to the local community so it has been promoting environmentally friendly eco-tourism in Chitwan, Nepal. So, we love our job and aim to share our passion to the beautiful nature of Chitwan, Nepal with our clients, ensuring your health and safeties are a #1 priority. Dear respected guests greetings and warm welcome to Wildlife Adventure Tours. I'm Glad to see you here. Let me tell you a bit about myself. My name is Bijay Giri and I am a native of Chitwan. I have always dreamed of becoming a Nature Guide at Chitwan National Park and after years of experience as a guide, together with a group of nature guides, I founded Wildlife Adventure Tours officially in 2012.
Chitwan National Park is my backyard, my passion and my life. I live to observe, protect and share our natural habitat. Caring for the park as well as the surrounding community is a top priority for me. For this reason, I fund, participate and support regular initiatives that protect the natural environment, support local communities as well as sanitation projects. Respect for nature, the environment and the community in which I live, is woven into the very fabric of who I am, and I strongly believe that my livelihood and that of my community depend on the wellbeing of the park.
Today, I pride myself in being the founder of Wildlife Adventure Tours, a Conservationist, birdwatcher, wildlife photographer, social philanthropist, and most of all a top level Senior wildlife nature guide. When I am not sharing the park with my guests, I still enjoy my free time in nature, doing bird watching, wildlife photography and social work. I am sure your story is as intriguing as mine. Bijay Giri is certified in Bird Identification and Photography. This training was organised jointly by the Nepal Tourism Board, The Rufford Foundation, Nepal Youth Council and Bird Education Society.
Life Member of Bird Education Society - 2017
Bijay Giri has been awarded the Certificate of Lifetime Member with the Bird Education Society. This has been earned through his dedication and contribution to the protection of birds and their habitat.
Certificate in Chinese Language - 2015
Bijay Giri successfully completed a course in Basic Level Chinese Language. This achievement has been reached with distinction and awarded by the Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University.
